College football season is here, so let’s take a look at some betting notes from the SEC:
- Mike Johnson of The Action Network doesn’t see any value in betting Alabama’s Win Total of 11. The Tide has been favored in nearly every game for the past nine season but hasn’t run the table since 2009. Still, Johnson can’t pinpoint where a loss will come from, leaving him to envision a push.
- Georgia is by far and away the most talented team in the SEC East, Johnson writes in the same piece. The scribe recommends the over at 10.5 wins.
- Steve Petrella of The Action Network is taking the over on the Alabama-Louisville game at 60, citing Jawon Pass, Louisville’s new starting QB. Pass has drawn comparisons to Cam Newton and he has the ability to be productive in Bobby Petrino’s QB friendly offense.
- All 43 of ESPN’s experts picks Clemson to make the college football playoffs while only 40 of them picks Alabama to make it. Each of the three analysts who left The Tide off their list had Georgia getting in.
